Solvem ("we", "our", "us") is a hyperlocal grocery delivery platform operated by Solvem Technologies. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our mobile application and related services, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

Information you provide directly:

• Name and phone number (used to create your account)
• Delivery address and location pin
• Payment method details (processed by third-party payment gateways — we do not store card numbers)
• Order notes and delivery instructions
• Profile photo (optional)

Information collected automatically:

• Device type, operating system, and app version
• IP address and approximate location (city-level)
• In-app behaviour: screens visited, products viewed, search queries, cart actions
• Crash reports and performance diagnostics
• Push notification interaction (open / dismiss)

Information from third parties:

• Google Sign-In profile (name, email, profile picture) if you choose to sign in with Google
• Payment status from payment processors (Razorpay, UPI networks)

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Process and deliver your orders
• Send order confirmations, delivery updates, and OTP codes
• Personalise product recommendations and promotions
• Prevent fraud and ensure platform security
• Analyse usage patterns to improve the app experience
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Delivery partners: your name, phone number, and delivery address are shared with the assigned delivery rider to fulfil your order.
• Payment processors: transaction data is shared with Razorpay or relevant UPI processors to complete payments securely.
• Firebase (Google): we use Firebase for authentication, cloud database, push notifications, and analytics. Google's Privacy Policy applies to their processing.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose data when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

All third-party service providers are bound by data processing agreements and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure in asia-south1 (Mumbai) region. Firebase provides industry-standard encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+).

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we purge your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records for 7 years under Indian tax law).

While we implement strong safeguards, no system is 100% secure. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately at support@solvem.app.

As a Solvem user, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
• Correction — update inaccurate information directly in the app or by contacting us
• Deletion — request permanent deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Opt-out of marketing — unsubscribe from promotional notifications at any time via app settings

The Solvem mobile app does not use browser cookies. We use Firebase Analytics (a Google product) within the app to understand aggregate usage patterns. This data is anonymised and cannot be used to personally identify you.

Our website (solvem.app) uses minimal session cookies required for page functionality only. No third-party advertising cookies are used on this website.

Solvem is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete the information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via a push notification in the app or a prominent notice on this page.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Solvem after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
